A Fully Verified GCash account gives you access to higher transaction limits, GInvest, GSave, GCredit, and other premium financial services. The verification process — known as KYC (Know Your Customer) — is required by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
How to Start Full Verification
- Log in to GCash and tap Profile in the bottom menu.
- Tap Verify Now, then Get Started.
- Read the reminders and tap Next.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your mobile number.
- Input your birthday and confirm whether you are a Filipino citizen.
- Select and scan a valid government ID.
- Take a selfie in a well-lit area when prompted.
- Fill in any additional required information and tap Submit.
Accepted Government IDs
GCash accepts a wide range of Philippine government-issued IDs including: Philippine Passport, Driver's License, SSS ID, UMID, PhilHealth ID, Voter's ID, Postal ID, PRC ID, Senior Citizen's ID, and PWD ID. Make sure your ID is clear, valid, and shows your full name, birthdate, and photo.
Tips for a Successful Selfie
Take your selfie in a room with good natural or artificial lighting. Remove glasses, hats, and face coverings. Look directly at the camera and make sure your full face is visible. Poor lighting is the most common reason for verification rejection.
Verification typically completes within 3 business days. You will receive an SMS and in-app notification once your account is approved.
What Changes After Full Verification
Once verified, your daily wallet balance limit and transaction limits increase significantly. You also gain access to GSave (virtual savings account), GFunds (investment marketplace), GCredit (personal credit line), GInsure (insurance products), and GLoan (personal loans).
